The Mazda CX-70 comes in seven distinct packages, including five with a six-cylinder mild-hybrid powertrain and two with an inline-four plug-in hybrid. The base model, Turbo Preferred, as well as Turbo Premium and Turbo Premium Plus, utilize the standard output mild hybrid setup. The Turbo S high-output mild hybrids and PHEV models are available in both Premium and Premium Plus packages.
In contrast, the CX-90 offers a broader range with 11 packages. It starts with the Turbo Select and includes a standard-output Preferred Plus trim, positioned between the Preferred and Premium. The CX-90 also features Turbo S base and PHEV Preferred models, which are not available for the CX-70.
Stylish and Unique Exterior Colors
Both the CX-70 and CX-90 are available in classic Jet Black Mica and premium exterior colors like Rhodium White and Soul Red Crystal Metallic. However, each model also offers exclusive shades. The CX-70 can be found in Polymetal Gray, Zircon Sand, and Melting Copper, while the CX-90 features Deep Crystal Blue Mica, Platinum Quartz, Sonic Silver, Machine Gray Metallic, and Artisan Red Premium.
Interior Comfort and Luxury
Inside, both SUVs provide a luxurious experience, but with some differences in color options and materials. The CX-70 offers standard leather across all trims, with black or greige fabric available in the Turbo Preferred, Turbo Premium, and PHEV Premium models. Higher trims feature Nappa leather in black or red. For the CX-90, the base model starts with black faux leather, while higher trims offer black or white Nappa leather. The top Turbo S Premium Plus trim boasts quilted tan or Japanese premium white Nappa leather.
Space and Convenience
The CX-90, with its three-row configuration, offers more passenger space, making it ideal for larger families or those who frequently travel with more people. It can seat up to eight with a standard second-row bench seat or seven with optional captain’s chairs. The CX-70, on the other hand, provides more cargo space without the third row, offering 39.6 cubic feet behind the second row and 75.3 cubic feet with the seats folded down. The CX-90 offers slightly different dimensions with 40.0 cubic feet behind the second row and 74.2 cubic feet with the seats folded, plus an additional 14.9 cubic feet behind the third row.
Advanced Features
The CX-70 introduces two new features that may soon be available on the CX-90: remote second-row bench seat release buttons and unresponsive driver support. This technology allows the car to navigate to safety if the driver becomes incapacitated, enhancing safety on the road.

Both the CX-70 and CX-90 are competitively priced, starting at $41,900 for the Turbo Preferred model. The top-tier PHEV Premium Plus models are priced at $58,905.
