If there's one thing we at Dyer Mazda dislike, it's waiting for the arrival of highly anticipated new Mazda models. Well, luckily for us, and subsequently you in the greater Vero Beach area, we won't have to wait quite as long to see one of these models as we thought.

That's because the all-new 2014 Mazda6 will be making its debut at the Moscow Auto Show in August instead of its originally planned September date, in France. A new model debut it always exciting news, but the Mazda6's intro is particularly so, because it is the first time we'll see a physical manifestation of the Takeri concept, that was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2011.

That is of course what we were expecting, since Mazda announced it would be applying this new design scheme to the forthcoming version of the Mazda6; now we're happy to report we have proof, in the form of recently-released teaser images showing a Mazda with definite Takeri-flair.

And speaking of firsts, the 2014 Mazda6 will be the first model to feature i-ELOOP technology. I-ELOOP is a brake-recovery system that channels energy during deceleration which it then uses to power the car during start-stop periods. In turn, certain accessories such as AC and lights aren't exhausting valuable fuel reserves when the car is stopped at a red light or in busy traffic.

In case a re-design and new technology isn't enough to pique your interest, you'll be happy to know that the Mazda6 is also anticipated to have stellar fuel economy derived from its SKYACTIV-G-2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the same as the one used in the Mazda3 and Mazda CX-5, which will pump out 155-horsepower and almost as much torque.

Since the Moscow Auto Show is right around the corner, we're sure to be hearing a lot about the 2014 Mazda6, which should be arriving at Dyer Mazda in early 2013.
