The Mazda CX-5 and The Six Million Dollar Man

Steve Austin was the world's first bionic man, according to the 1970s hit television series The Six Million Dollar Man, as the fictional test-pilot was rebuilt to become 'better, stronger, and smarter' than he was before. Taking a page from the TV show starring Lee Majors, Mazda is launching a new advertising campaign for the all-new 2013 Mazda CX-5 called "Better. Stronger. Smarter." to highlight the new and improved features on the crossover SUV.

Mazda is airing a one minute television ad, along with thirty second ads that will show the CX-5 and will incorporate a 1970s style and music to show off the revamped CX-5.  Mazda improved this well-liked model by making it, more powerful and sharper with its innovative SKYACTIV technology. The 2013 CX-5 has an overabundance of helpful features such as the push-button start. This model has also been named an IIHS 'Top Safety Pick', in addition to boasting the highest highway fuel economy for any SUV (including hybrids) sold in North America. These are the characteristics that define the CX-5 as something out of this world, similar to the Six-Million Dollar Man.

"The emphasis on science and technology throughout the campaign helps us tell the story to consumers in a different but relatable way. Essentially, it's science fiction without the fiction," says Harvey Marco, chief creative officer of The Garage/Team Mazda.

Starting at just $20,695 MSRP, the 2013 Mazda CX-5 will feel like you're driving a smooth-riding, technologically advanced bionic machine, all while looking stylish in the greater Vero Beach area.
